Rotated PDF ready.

How it works

This tool loads your PDF with the pdf-lib library and updates the rotation flag stored on every page, then saves a new copy turned the way you asked. Because it changes only the rotation metadata rather than re-rendering the pages, the operation is instant and completely lossless — text stays selectable, images keep their resolution, and file size barely changes. The whole thing runs in your browser, so the document is never uploaded anywhere.

Which rotation to pick

Choose 90° clockwise for a page that came out lying on its right side, and 90° counter-clockwise for one lying on its left. Use 180° when a page is completely upside down, which often happens with pages fed the wrong way into a scanner or photographed from the opposite side. The rotation you select is applied to all pages at once and adds to any rotation the pages already carry, so you can run the tool again if a page needs another quarter turn.

Typical uses

Rotating is most often needed after scanning, when a batch of pages ends up sideways, or after combining files from different sources whose orientations don't match. Fixing the rotation before sharing means the reader sees every page upright without having to turn their head or rotate the view manually, which matters especially for documents that will be printed.

Frequently asked questions

Can I rotate only some pages?

This tool rotates the whole document at once. To rotate specific pages, first extract them with our Split PDF tool, rotate that file, then merge it back.

Does rotating reduce quality?

No. Only the page's rotation setting changes, so there is no re-compression and no loss of quality at all.

Why does my viewer still show the old orientation?

Make sure you opened the newly downloaded file rather than the original, and refresh the viewer if it cached the previous version.
